Office Hours

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The office is closed for lunch between noon and 1 pm daily.

Pediatric Appointments

Office visits are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Starceski or Dr. Graham, call 751-3675.

Same-Day Appointments.  Our appointment line (751-3675) opens at 8 am, Monday through Friday. If your child has an acute illness or urgent medical situation during office hours, ask to speak to our triage nurse who schedules same-day appointments. We make every effort to get you in to see your child’s pediatrician that day. Please – no walk-ins! That will only delay your situation.

Well-Child Appointments. Regular well-child visits with your pediatrician are important to assess growth and development and can be made by calling 751-3675. Scheduling is done three months in advance to accommodate dates and times that are convenient to you.

We follow the recommended guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics for well-child visits and immunizations (see Health Resources). Newborns are seen two to three days after leaving the hospital, and also at 2 weeks. Well-child visits are then scheduled at the following ages:  2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months and yearly after that. Additional physicals, such as camp and sports physicals, should be scheduled well in advance.

New Patients.  If you are a new patient please download and compete our new patient forms. If you have not already submitted them, bring these forms to your first visit to save time in the waiting room. We ask that you also bring your insurance card, photo ID and immunization record. Immunizations have radically improved the health of people worldwide. Drs. Starceski and Graham strongly support immunizing children and adults according to the schedule approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics and Centers for Disease Control. They are not accepting new patients whose parents oppose immunizations.

Cancellations.  Please notify Casas Adobes Pediatrics at least 24 hours in advance if you’re unable to keep your appointment so we can accommodate other patients who have urgent medical needs.

Nursing Advice during Office Hours. During regular office hours, Casas Adobes Pediatrics has registered nurses and licensed practical nurses who provide telephone advice to guide you through most minor illnesses, answer simple questions, and determine if an appointment is needed. For questions beyond their specific training, Dr. Graham or Dr. Starceski are always consulted. Call 751-3675. Your call will be returned by one of the nurses as soon as possible, within two to three hours.

Newborn Circumcision. Dr. Starceski and Dr. Graham perform newborn circumcision using a local anesthetic plus other comfort measures. The procedure is usually done in the office. Call us for more information or to make an appointment.

Payment for Services

All insurance co-payments are due at the time of your visit. Payment for non-covered services is also due at the time of service.  For your convenience, Casas Adobes Pediatrics accepts cash, check and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard and Discover). Please contact your insurance provider directly if you have questions about your insurance coverage.

In an Emergency:

If your child is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, dial “911” immediately.

After-Hours Urgent Medical Situations

When an urgent health situation occurs after office hours, call our answering service at (520) 512-5368. A registered nurse will assess your situation, provide advice and if necessary, contact the pediatrician on call.

Hospital Affiliations

Dr. Graham and Dr. Starceski see newborns at Northwest Medical Center. Children requiring hospitalization are admitted to Tucson Medical Center and Banner University Medical Center where they are cared for by the Pediatric Hospitalists.

Prescription Refills

If you need to refill a current prescription please contact the pharmacy directly. If your prescription has expired, please call our office. Always allow 48 hours for refills to be processed. If your child is on a controlled drug you must obtain a prescription refill from our office in person.

Medical Referrals

Some insurance plans require referrals to specialists. You are responsible for requesting a referral from Dr. Starceski or Dr. Graham, and then calling the specialist’s office to make an appointment for your child. Please allow 3 to 5 days for Casas Adobes Pediatrics to process your referral.

Request for Medical Records

You will have to sign a release form in our office to obtain copies of your medical records. Your records will be copied and mailed to the address you specify. Please allow seven to 10 days for this to happen. If you have questions, call 751-3675, ext. 5.
